Draft status
These policies are drafts pending legal review.
Sources
Awareness, law, rights and portal content is written from official or authoritative sources such as FSSAI, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Department of Consumer Affairs, India Code and the World Health Organization. Every such item lists its sources and the date it was last checked. We do not invent section numbers, penalties, statistics, phone numbers or URLs; where we cannot verify a detail, we leave it out or describe it generally.
Recalls and news items must link to an official or otherwise verifiable source. We write our own summaries rather than copying text.
Verification states for reports
A report is labelled 'Verified by FoodQuality.in moderators' only when a moderator has confirmed it by a stated method and source. Every other publicly visible report is labelled 'User-submitted report. Not independently verified.' Reports may also be marked unverified, resolved or closed as their status changes. Rejected reports are never public.
Business and brand names are shown publicly only after moderation. Reporter identity is never shown publicly.
Corrections
If you believe something on the site is wrong, tell us at contact@foodquality.in, with a source if you can. Trusted users can also suggest corrections from their account. We review corrections, fix confirmed errors promptly, and update the 'last checked' date of the item.
Right of reply
A business named in a published report can ask for a response to be considered, or for an error to be corrected, by writing to contact@foodquality.in. We will review it, and where appropriate add a note to the report. We do not remove accurate, properly moderated reports on request alone.
Independence
Moderators decide what is published based on the evidence and our policies. Every moderation decision is recorded in an audit log.
